I became fascinated with mosaic while working in a school in North London and after studying mosaic under renowned mosaic artist Elaine Goodwin at Whitechapel art gallery in 1993, I returned to Ireland to start making my own mosaic pieces to sell at The Design Yard in Temple Bar , Dublin. I have also run numerous workshops across a range of age groups, abilities and circumstances, from school children to adult education and community groups. My recent Kingsbridge community mosaic project was funded by National Lottery and took a year to complete, encompassing workshops in 10 local schools and diverse community groups within the local catchment area.

What I love most about teaching mosaic to others is the joy and therapeutic pleasure that everyone gains from taking part, no matter what age or background.
